Luxurious new Kelowna development, 955 Manhattan, takes accessibility to new level

955 Manhattan is for all

955 Manhattan offers everything anyone would want in a luxurious new condominium or townhouse.

It is located close enough to downtown Kelowna to be within walking distance of all that it has to offer, but it is far enough away that it is in a quiet, tranquil neighbourhood.

It will have a design and architecture that is timeless and classic—just like many of the buildings found in the neighbourhoods of its American namesake. It will make the boutique development stand out from most of the region’s projects.

It is also located across the street from Okanagan Lake and the walking paths along the water that begin at Rotary Marsh Park and continue towards downtown.

Where 955 Manhattan really separates itself, however, is through the accessibility its future residents will enjoy. It was important for MCMI Developments, which is behind the project, to make sure its dazzling new development would be comfortable for everyone.

“It’s a building for everybody,” MCMI co-owner Leanne Misfeldt says. “If you’re in a wheelchair, no problem. It’s really hard for people to find that.”

955 Manhattan will consist of 10 homes in all: two three-bedroom-and-den townhomes on Manhattan Drive and a separate, four-storey building behind it that will feature eight condominiums, including two penthouses, two three-bedroom-and-den sub-penthouses with beautiful lake views, and four two-bedroom and two-bathroom homes.

These homes are for sale now. To register and receive more information, go to the 955 Manhattan website. And if someone with accessibility issues purchases a home before TKI constructs the project, features like lower profile cabinets can be included in the build. There will be no deck thresholds and each unit will contain a curbless shower for easy access.

The condos that face the lake will have huge patios so you and many of your friends or family members can enjoy those unforgettable Okanagan sunsets. The homes on the back of the condominium building will overlook Jack Brow Park. The windows will be massive, which will also help with the project’s sustainability.

“It’s going to be lovely,” Misfeldt says. “The concrete condo building has 12 foot ceilings, it has parking on the first level, and then the next three levels are the condos. The parking area has electric vehicle charging stations in front of each spot, too.”

The townhomes will be wood frame construction with double car garages.

There will also be three beautiful classic colour collections from which to choose for your home’s interior.
